Boomerang

Today was a day of running around LA county picking up and delivering scans/test results to different doctor and medical offices. Megan and I (Danielle) divided and conquered the morning running to different cities and then I took the moto to and from UCLA to beat the LA traffic. It was a long day of driving. What's great is that as of today, UCLA now has all of Megan's records. In the midst of driving around, we also got the pathology report back from USC. It was delivered to the hospital that Megan had the biopsy at so the UCLA team hasn't reviewed it yet. The pathologist updated the original diagnosis: "CT guided needle core biopsy of liver with some features of hepatocellular carcinoma but favor a diagnosis of acinar pancreatic carcinoma."  To break it down, they believe that it may actually be pancreatic cancer that has infected/affected the liver. They want to do an MRI and additional blood work before they make it official. So tomorrow we are off to do an early morning MRI. We aren't sure what this means when it comes to the liver specialists and oncologists we've been seeing so it feels a little like we are back to square one. Hopefully we can get more information this week and some more concrete answers when we have our appointment next week with Dr. Finn.Out of any of us, Megan obviously wants to know what's going on. She's being active and a total powerhouse when it comes to making sure we do something everyday. She's taking it head on even though we're all a little scared. Megan is badass. We just wish there was Dr. House or magic wand we could wave that would figure this out so we could have some answers.Just a reminder, we have an email that we made in case you want to send any words of encouragement: meganbeatscancer@gmail.com
